Dear Readers,
As SSC is conducting its Combined Graduate Level Recruitment’s Tier-I Examination where 30,26,599 candidates have registered, there were a few speculations regarding cheating, impersonation, and leakage of paper; but SSC has issued an Official Notice clarifying this matter.
According to a local newspaper of Jaipur, there was speculation that CGL Tier-I paper was leaked in Arya Engineering College, Kukus, Jaipur (16th August), where an invigilator was alleged to have taken snapshots of questions from the screen to help a candidate. However, today SSC has clarified that amongst all such news and rumors there are only three valid cases registered: two cases of impersonation and one case of cheating.
According to the Notice issued by SSC, till 21.8.2017, this examination has been conducted for 37 out of 43 Batches for 26,63,073 candidates, in which 14,02,331 candidates have actually taken the examination. (Average attendance 52.66%). So far, the examination has been conducted without any major untoward incident.
The Commission, till date, has registered criminal cases against three candidates indulging in exam related malpractices viz. two cases of impersonation and one case of cheating (and not leakage of paper as reported by one local newspaper in Jaipur). Strict action would be taken against the three candidates as per the Rules of the Commission. The examination for all the 43 Batches would conclude on 23.8.2017.
We advise all students who are yet to appear for SSC CGL Tier-I Exam to not indulge in any sort of malpractices. It is to your benefit to abide by the rules and guidelines for examination and give a fair attempt in CGL Exam.
