Job Responsibilities:

  • Like any other Assistant post, you would be posted mostly into the desk job. You wouldn’t have to do work like an intelligence officer.
  • You would deal with many files and papers regarding financial and administrative matters related to the department. 
  • There is no much stress or workload in this post.

Work location:

You might get border areas while others might be posted to cities, towns or villages.

Work Timing:

you will be following a proper work schedule. Daily you will be going in the morning and coming back to your home in the evening.
No extra work hours and working in shifts.

Training:

  • After selection, you will have to go through 2 months training in the remote area. 
  • During Training You will get Rs.20000 to Rs. 25000 in your account.  Everything would be provided by the IB office.
  • The other 2 months training will be in DELHI.

Promotion:

  • You’ll get your first promotion in about 5-7 years through a departmental exam or in 10 years in due course.

  • The hierarchy is as follows:
  • Section Officers( in 7-8 years)
  • Under Secretary
  • Deputy Secretary
  • Director
