1.Petition (noun)-याचिका
Meaning: a formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to authority in respect of a particular cause.
Synonyms: appeal, round robin, list of signatures/protesters.
Example: The Supreme Court on Monday decided to constitute a five-judge Constitution Bench to hear petitions from November against the validity of the Aadhaar scheme.

2.Tandem (adjective)-अग्रानुक्रम
Meaning: having two things arranged one in front of the other.
Example: Mr. Tankha said the linkage was “orchestrated by the Union of India in tandem with private telecom service providers” in violation of the fundamental right to privacy.
3.Intrusion (noun)-अतिक्रमण
Meaning: the action of intruding.
Synonyms: encroachment on, trespass on, obtrusion into. 
Example: It had referred the legal question to a nine-judge Bench, which came out with the historic judgment in favour of the common man’s fundamental right to privacy against state intrusions.
4.Inextricably (adverb)-अलंघनीय
Meaning: in a way that is impossible to disentangle or separate.
Example: He defined at that Conference, the nature of the party, and explained to that gathering how the Congress represented the entire country. He explained, in fact, their inextricable oneness.
5.Indomitable (adjective)-अदम्य
Meaning: impossible to subdue or defeat.
Synonyms: invincible, unconquerable, unbeatable, unassailable, impregnable, invulnerable.
Example: That made him what he was, the ‘indomitable’ iron man of India. That also made the Congress, in very great part, what it was — an all-India organisation.
6.Wrench (noun)-झटका, झटके से खींचना,अत्यंत कष्टदायी 
Meaning: a sudden violent twist or pull.
Synonyms: tug, pull, jerk, jolt, wrest, heave, twist.
Example: No one, howsoever anxious to wrench his legacy off from that of the Congress, can dispute and much less deny that basic and incontrovertible fact. 
7.Hegemonic (adjective)-प्रधानता वाली, अधिपति 
Meaning: ruling or dominant in a political or social context.
Example: Does that mean that the Sardar’s membership, leadership and stewardship of the Congress was free of tensions? Of course not, because he was human and his party was led and peopled by other humans, each with tempers and temperaments that were distinct. Despite Gandhi’s pre-eminent position in it and in the hearts of the people of India, the Congress was not a hegemonic party and its most charismatic leader, Jawaharlal Nehru, was, by instinct, self-training and practice, its most natural democrat. 
8.Wrangle (noun)-लड़ाई
Meaning: a dispute or argument, typically one that is long and complicated.
Synonyms: argument, dispute, disagreement, quarrel, row, fight, squabble, difference of opinion, altercation, angry exchange, war of words, shouting match. 
Example: The Congress’s ranking leaders, as indeed its countless ‘file’, differed, debated, wrangled and even warred, but stayed true to the party’s sifat, because the party gave them that ‘play’, not as a policy but as an inherent personality trait, India’s trait.
9.Exaggerate (verb)-अतिरंजना करना
Meaning: represent (something) as being larger, better, or worse than it really is, enlarged or altered beyond normal proportions.
Synonyms: overstate, overemphasize, overstress, overestimate, overvalue, magnify, amplify, aggrandize, inflate. 
Example: Their differences are not to be exaggerated. They are not to be minimised. They are to be contextualised. In the democratic spirit of that plural party.
10.Lubricate (verb)-चिकना करना 
Meaning: apply a substance such as oil or grease to (an engine or component) so as to minimize friction and allow smooth movement.
Synonyms: oil, grease, make slippery, make smooth, smear with oil, cover with oil, rub with oil.
Example: That neglect has lubricated the crassly opportunistic co-option of Patel by the Hindu Right which has no right, logical, political or moral, to that legacy. What the Congress squandered, Hindutva is shovelling in.
