In written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh informed that there was no leakage of question papers in the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination, 2017. Lately, allegations of cheating in the conduct of SSC CGL 2017 Exam at certain exam venues thus leading to a prolonged protest, SSC recommended for an impartial enquiry by CBI to reaffirm the faith of the candidates in the examination process. CBI has registered a Preliminary Enquiry case on 08.03.2018 after Government decided to proceed the matter to CBI for a free and fair enquiry as per recommendations of SSC. However, the attached statement ‘’The said examination has not been cancelled, therefore, question of re-conduct does not arise’’ in itself is a summed up answer to many queries.
